Who We Are

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had the privilege to spend most of my career at Atlantic Records and Wind-up Records moving around the United States in various capacities. For many years, I served as Atlantic’s Vice President of Promotion and have had the honor to be a part of multiple platinum-selling and chart-topping campaigns from Coldplay, Paramore, Death Cab for Cutie, Portugal. The Man, Vance Joy, Fitz & the Tantrums, The War on Drugs, Kaleo, Matt Maeson, Shinedown, Seether, Finger 11, Evanescence and Creed.

Music, especially rock music, was the first love of my life. I was 11 when my stepfather first played me “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns N Roses. Between the first few bars of that song and seeing Axl Rose’s white leather jacket in the video for “Paradise City”, I was hooked. Many years later, after three summers as an intern at the old Elektra Records, I knew I was meant to work in the music business.

When I was an assistant, my first SVP said, “This business is ALL about relationships. Technology is great, but at the end of the day, you MUST be able to get someone on the phone or get on a plane for a meeting and a meal.” He was absolutely correct. The relationships and friendships I’ve made as I’ve moved around the country have been some of the most rewarding parts of my career. Relationships that have been built on mutual respect, trust, and transparency even when having to deliver tough news to each other.

As technology is always evolving, the music business is going through a major paradigm shift. As new opportunities arise with some long-standing professions getting phased out, there will be gaps in the artist community along with the teams that represent them. With the constant staff changes at record labels, management companies, booking agents, etc., many artists get lost in the shuffle and don’t get the support they need to launch or grow their careers.

This is where White Leather Projects was born. In order for artists to focus on creating the best music possible, it’s imperative that they have professional partners they can trust and rely on. We utilize years of experience in artist development, marketing, promotion, and management to help our artists navigate this new phase of their careers.
